I'm Catherine from the US, a certified TESOL/TEFL tutor with 20+ years tutoring internationals with a wide range of backgrounds. I tutor, have worked as a technical translator, lexicographer and content creator and am an expat and mom. I enjoy violin improv, singing a cappella, gaming and game dev. I use customized approaches to master desired skills and have dealt with education in many countries, tutoring people from the Netherlands, Italy, Colombia, Germany, Denmark, France, Hungary, Japan and China... on anything from writing dissertations or grants to penning job applications to engaging in small talk in person or online (I take people from lurking status to MVP). My methodology is based on a student’s existing competencies and targets the desired outcome, for instance skill in spoken or written English, formal or informal.
