There was/were: i) There was a river in the centre of the city. ii) There wasn’t a taxi at the rank. iii) There were four or five nice restaurants on that street. iv) There weren’t many buses in the city.
Description
This class helps learners discuss getting away from it all for a little while and taking a break in the city. It discusses different forms of public transport and things to do in big cities. For example, “There is a river in London” or “There is a Metro in Beijing”.
