I´m a father of four, a bit of a foody, I brew my own beer, am a keen cook and have spent almost half my life living and working in Germany. I´m now based in the Republic of Ireland with a small holding in beautiful Donegal and have been for almost nine years.

Although my musical talents are somewhat limited I am a passionate music fan. I support Liverpool FC. I like to keep fit, mainly by running  (slowly), cycling and swimming. I have a small holding with some 15 hens, two ducks, four cats and, at the moment, just 5 sheep (although this can vary, depending on the time of the year and with the lambing season just around the corner, who knows? maybe there's more to come...)..
As a younger man I spent 20 months travelling around the world and met my wife in the Australian outback. Some 20 years later we spent our summer holidays as a family backpacking in Indonesia and then in Greenland. I love the countryside and being outdoors. I´m particularly interested in current affairs, history and the environment. I also enjoy reading, kayaking, watching quality films, DIY, gardening and amateur dramatics.
