Passive in the Past: i) The government built a building (Emphasis on the government). ii) A new building was built (Emphasis on the building). iii) The developers demolished that building (Emphasis on the developers). iv) That building was demolished (Emphasis on the demolition)

Description

This unit gives learners the opportunity to read and discuss the topic of subjectivity in the context of architectural styles and their development over the last century. By the end of the lesson learners will also be able to use and understand the passive voice in the past simple tense.
